Service
"I have come, not to be served, but to serve."
Members of a stewardship parish recognize that they also have a need to give beyond
their own members only. Parishioners seek the parish family as a community to
serve and to be served-to give and receive.
Just as the members of a family come together to help one of their own, a stewardship parish family serves those who are hurting or have needs. People seek the parish family as a primary community to serve and to be served – to give and to receive. The members of a stewardship parish recognize that they also have a need to give beyond the parish. They have a need to serve and to give anywhere in the global community. Service, by those of all ages, provides the opportunity to practice hospitality, prayer, and formation.
The following Gifts/Charisms support Stewardship Pillar of Service: Administration, Craftsmanship, Encouragement, Giving, Healing, Helps, Leadership, Mercy, Music, Service.

Time—Talent—Treasure: We give all of these when we live by the pillar of Service. Either
directly through participation or indirectly through support. We show our gratitude to God by returning the first fruits of all that He has given us.
