Parish Lenten Mission
March 22 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
A Different Parish Mission
In the history of the Church, Lent has always been considered a 40-day retreat for all the faithful. It is a time of heightened reflection, prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
This Lent, our parish invites you and your family to engage in this 40-day retreat. Rather than a parish mission offered over the course of 3-4 days, we will journey together to the Cross of Jesus in a 5-week parish mission, gathering for an hour each week to reflect on the previous Sunday’s Gospel and its meaning for our lives.
Each interactive session will be offered twice each week:
Attend the Souper Supper before the mission on Mondays, or stay for light refreshments on Wednesdays. Families are encouraged to attend and share faith together. Attend all 5 or as you are able.
The Call to Conversion – Sharing Our Gifts
March 20th & 22nd
Deacon Bob Evans
“Are we willing to be honest about ourselves?” Christ confronts the woman at the well with an unheard of honesty. In her experience of this honesty, she is freed to witness to her community… notice her witness is not, “Come meet the messiah,” instead it is “come meet the man who told me everything about myself.”
