Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is an International organization of Catholic men dedicated to supporting and assisting the clergy in carrying out the mission of the Catholic Church. The group stresses family life, the sanctity of life, and service to others, as well as supporting many social and spiritual activities. The Knights provide many services to the parish, including scholarships to deserving parish youth, Sunday morning coffee, pancake breakfasts, Lenten friday night fish fries, blood donation drives, basketball free throw contests, a tootsie roll drive to collect funds to support the mentally challenged, and an annual Law and Order dinner, where local Police, Fire and Safety personnel are honored. The Knights of Columbus Council #10050, which meets at Blessed Sacrament, have over 100 members. The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly # 2524, who meets at Blessed Sacrament, has over 75 members.
