Spirituality of the Stewardship Four Pillars

A Message from Fr. Pat
"When our parishioners are having fun together (Hospitality), praying together (Prayer), learning together (Formation), & serving together (Service) – Stewardship becomes a way of life. "
Blessed Sacrament has adopted the Four Pillars of Hospitality, Prayer, Formation, and Service as a stewardship model for living a balanced life as a good Christian Steward. This is a life lived in response to God’s love and His call for all of us to partake in His abundance.
So that this balance flows throughout all our activities here, we are asking all of our Parish Ministries to think of themselves in terms of all Four Pillars. By defining ourselves by all Four Pillars instead of just one or two, we recognize the need to incorporate this balance in all that we do.
The Pillars are explained more fully within this website and the Ministries of our parish are listed on website's homepage. Please use this website as a companion to discern your gifts. Thank God fully and generously for all that He has gifted you. There is also a Ministry Booklet available to assist you in your discernment process.
As we all become fully engaged in our Parish, the benefits are many. We make new friends, discover new things about ourselves, and we grow - as people and as a community. Join us in a balanced and abundant life of Hospitality, Prayer, Formation, and Service.

Each Fall our Parish Holds Commitment Weekend
By joining other parishioners participating in the Commitment Weekend process you are supporting our Four Pillars style of Stewardship as a way of life in the following key areas.
- Hospitality: participating in and developing a sense of belonging
- Prayer: engaging in deep & meaningful worship through Eucharist & daily prayer
- Formation: following the path of a life-long learner – giving and receiving wisdom
- Service: giving of ourselves with love for each other, our church and the larger community
It is also within the context of these four pillars that we are good stewards of our financial resources – returning to God a portion of the abundance He has granted us via weekly plate envelopes.
