Vision & Master Planning

We have started on a journey... We are on our way!

The Parish Vision Plan is a prayerful result of the data gathering (input) from parishioners, Pastoral Council, parish ministries, parish staff and consultants.  This planning process allows The Community of the Blessed Sacrament to assess where it is as a parish and what it wishes or needs to become as a dynamic and spirit-led faith community.  The important building blocks of hospitality, prayer, formation and service assure that there is a sound structure in place for stewadship as a way of life.

The Parish's Needs Assessment and Master Plan were completed January 2008.  Architect Orcutt Winslow conducted site and building reviews, investigated site issues and conducted space need interviews.  The Master Plan with drawings and cost proposals responds to the Site Conditions and Space Program information shown in the Needs Assessment.  The Master Plan features three phased process of construction, demolition, and remodeling.

In May 2011, the Pastoral Council through concensus, recommended that a Needs Assessment and Master Plan (schedule, financial impacts, transitional plan, initial drawings...) project be initiated to address church, chapel and courtyard renovation, renew, and potential expansion.  Architectural firms were contacted for request for proposals (deadline for reponse 8/22/2011), with goal to interview and select by late 3rd quarter 2011 an architectural firm; and begin 4th quarter 2011 conducting interviews for needs assessment data collection to develop by early 1st quarter 2012 a Master Plan for this project.
