EDGE

Our parish's EDGE curriculum is now Lectionary based. Within the old EDGE program, ideas and themes were not coherent or focused so we decided to focus our themes around the scripture readings from the mass. Every Monday will focus on the themes of the Sunday prior’s mass, breaking down the deeper messages and offering the teens the opportunity to put their faith into action.

This format for the EDGE will be modeled around the Liturgy of the Word. We will be hosting a variety of service projects with our junior high teens this year giving them even more of a chance to live out their callings to be disciples. We will also begin doing a variety of social activities with our junior high teens hoping to build community and foster strong Catholic relationships. This is a change only at our parish. The EDGE program is not making these changes to its format and curriculum so there is the possibility that in the future, we will no longer be an EDGE program.
