Prospective members are always welcome. You may attend up to 2 events as a potential member before joining.  Go to the CCNA website to download a CCNA Membership Form and/or to learn about membership requirements and fees.  Click here for September CCNA Newsletter.

On January 29, 2012, our parish will be holding its 4th Annual Parish Business Expo.  Look below on this webpage, to see list of parishioners who have participated in past Expos, for 2012 registration forms and other info about networking and/or contacting business owners within our parish.

Parish Business Expo

Comment from Pastor: “The parish Business Expo brought more connectedness to the parish. Through our Stewardship 4-pillar process we’ve been trying to build up a spirit of hospitality and welcome. This event brought parishioners together who didn’t know each other.”   Fr. Patrick Robinson, Pastor

Comment from Parish Manager:  “You see people in church every Saturday or Sunday and have no idea who they are or what they do. You never know what services you may need — an auto mechanic or someone in refrigeration. We have parisioners in many businesses and this puts a face to the business.”   Dr. Honora Norton, Parish Manager

Comment from Attendee:  "I want to thank you for suggesting that we stop into the Business Expo at Blessed Sacrament.  I am the proud owner of a beautiful new roof new patio screens, new sky lights, repairs to my air conditioner and pool decking at very little expense and very little paperwork.  I stopped at a roofing exhibitor table, because they had a sign about free estimates of hail damage from our October storm.  I had no idea I had any damage, so I talked to the parishioner, at the roofing table.  He came out and found all sorts of stuff.  He took care of contacting my insurance company, spoke with the adjuster and handled all the repairs.  Because of all the discounts from church and letting them put a sign in my front yard for 30 days.  My out of pocket cost was less than $200.  I am thrilled because the roof was over 20 years old.  They did a great job and I highly recommend them.  As I said, I had no idea there was damage that could lead to leaks in the future, so I am very happy I wandered in there that day.  I do recommend Expo exhibitors.  Tell 'em Connie sent you!!"

2010 Business Expo

2009 Business Expo

An overwhelming majority of the exhibitors stated – let’s do this again - the networking opportunities are great! So, our Parish Business Expo is now annually held with a great turnout of exhibitors and visitors after the Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses either in January or February each year.  On the weekend of May 16-17, 2009, The Community of the Blessed Sacrament held its 1st Business Expo in the Social Hall.  Sixty (60) parishioner and bulletin advertiser exhibitor applications were received.  Close to 400 raffle tickets were submitted for the over 20 door prizes donated by various exhibitors.  Most of the exhibitors received 5-6 new client referrals; there were a few who received as many as ten or more new client leads. A few exhibitors connected with candidates for job opportunities their businesses offered.

Very favorable ratings and comments were received on an exhibitor post-event survey, i.e.:  appreciated the opportunity to network with fellow parishioners; the best contacts were made between the exhibitors; well worth while; well organized, especially considering this was a first attempt; demonstrated parish’s concern during these tough economic times; great community event; glad we did it; for a first venture, it was enthusiastically received; wonderful event; thanks for setting up and arranging; great refreshments…

This all started with our Pastoral Council, who at their January, 2009 gathering suggested -  in these tough economic times, the parish should do something to help the many parishioner businesses.   After some research and planning by the Parish Manager, the application, promotional materials, event program, mailings and parish website were prepared.  As the applications quickly came in, Dick Leopold, Parish Life Ministries Coordinator, set about designing the Expo layout and arranging refreshments, including partnering with our parish’s Welcome Ministry.

Thank you again to the exhibitors, the attendees and parish staff .
