40 Days for Life:

The next 40 Days for Life campaign will be from March 9 to April 17, 2011.  The largest ever 40 Days for Life Campaign is on the way! The pro-life campaign will run in 246 cities — locations from coast to coast in the United States as well as sites in Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, Spain, Georgia, Armenia and Belize.

The 40 Days for Life campaign is firmly rooted on a foundation of prayer, fasting, vigil and outreach. To help maintain focus on the Lord and stay in tune with His guidance, series of daily devotionals will be available — one for each of the 40 days of the campaign. Our Parish's Adult Pro-Life Ministry:

The Adult Pro-Life Ministry at our parish is dedicated to the protection and sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. This Ministry encourages awareness, activism, prayer, and financial support for pro-life activities, both within the parish and in the community.  This Ministry supports Catholic Pro-life, by seeking to organize, educate, and mobilize Catholics on Pro-Life issues.  This Ministry supports Catholic crisis pregnancy centers, which offer counseling and resources to mothers in need.  This ministry offers programs of education that promote the preciousness of human life and the hurtful impact of abortion, euthanasia, human cloning, the death penalty, assisted suicide, and embryonic stem cell research.

This Ministry fosters pastoral programs for women and men, i.e.: advocates for public policies that support human life, and provides opportunities for liturgy and prayer with the theme of the inherent dignity of the human person. If you are Pro-Life and want to become more active, here are some of the ways you can help: pray (pray a decade a day for the unborn; pray a rosary; offer prayer support at abortion clinics...); civic action (vote pro-life and help inform voters) and participate in supportive services (i.e. mentor and support young mother; hold baby shower for young mother...)...
